Breathe · Let go

Hug a Tree

Breathe through a worry, and leave it with the tree.

Don't just write your worries down — tie one to a birch, take a few slow breaths, and let it go. A quiet, private forest that turns anxious spiralling into a short, gentle ritual, and shows you, over time, how much of what you feared simply passed.

A small ritual, three steps

The whole thing takes a couple of minutes. Nothing here withers if you stay away — the forest simply waits.

1

Tie a worry

Write down what's on your mind and tie it to a tree as a ribbon — a worry, or a wish you're holding.

2

Breathe with the tree

Follow a slow, guided breath. Your companion breathes alongside you and carries the ribbon to the branch.

3

Let it go

Leave the worry with the birch. Later, you can look back and mark how it actually turned out.

What's inside

Guided breathing

Simple, paced exercises you can do with your eyes open or closed — never a technique you're forced to "get right".

Worries & wishes

Tie worries or wishes to your trees. Each tree can hold a whole area of life, or one small thing.

A gentle journal

Look back and mark what actually happened — and watch how much of what you feared turned out kinder than expected.

Your own forest

Ten skies, a nursery of trees, and ribbons to arrange — a calm place that's yours to tend.

Private iCloud sync

Your forest reaches your other devices through your own private iCloud. We never see it.

No pressure, ever

No streaks, no nagging, no guilt. Breathing is never required — writing it down is already enough.

Why a birch?

In Slavic tradition the birch is a friend you can confide in. People tied ribbons to its branches to leave a wish or a worry with the tree, and hugging its trunk was said to pass calm and strength back to you.

Hug a Tree takes that old, gentle gesture and makes it something you can do in a couple of minutes, wherever you are: give the tree what's weighing on you, breathe, and let the branch hold it for a while.

Your worries stay yours

No accounts. No ads. No servers of ours. Everything you write lives on your device and in your own private iCloud — we can't read it, and you can erase all of it at any time. We only count anonymous usage, such as a session being finished — never what it was about.

Take a slow breath.
