Every language in one place

It replaces the spreadsheet you keep next to your apps and tutors.

1

Give each language a role

Focus, maintenance or paused, with a weekly target for each.

2

See what's next up

Today shows which language is next up and how this week compares with your plan.

3

Catch the one that's fading

A neglected language is flagged as fading before it slips. Pro can also remind you.

What's inside

Log time in a tap

Start the timer from the bar above the tabs, or add time by hand. Note what you did (listening, reading, speaking, a lesson…) and the resource you used. The running timer sits on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and there's a Control Center button.

One notebook for all your languages

Keep an idea with its word in each of your languages, side by side. Flag false friends and the words you mix up, and log slips, when one language creeps into another. With Pro, Apple Intelligence can fill in an entry on supported devices.

A two-minute mix-up drill

It brings the words you mix up back until they stick. One round a day is free.

Watch & read

Keep a list of series, videos, books and podcasts for each language. Paste a link and the title and picture fill in. Tick things off when you're done.

See your progress

Hours per week for each language, your mix of input, output and study, and milestones from 10 hours to 10,000. Free shows the last 4 weeks; Pro keeps your whole history.

Plan and forecast Pro

Run a sprint: push one language for 4 to 16 weeks while the others rest on maintenance, then review. Give each language its days, and Next up follows the plan. See when you'll reach your next level at your current pace, and the pace your goal date needs, based on FSI study hours.

Hands-free Pro

Start the timer with Siri, or let a Shortcuts automation start and stop it when you open a show or a lesson app.

No account needed

Your log and notebook are stored on your device. Pro keeps them in step between iPhone and iPad with iCloud, brings in the log from your spreadsheet (CSV) and exports everything.

Your languages stay yours

How do I cancel my Polyglot Garden Pro subscription?

On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Polyglot Garden. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. Apple's guide: cancel a subscription from Apple.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly plan starts with a one-week free trial. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you aren't charged; otherwise it becomes a yearly subscription.

How do I get Pro back on a new iPhone or iPad?

Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Polyglot Garden (Polyglot on your home screen), go to Settings and tap Restore purchases.

How do I sync between my iPhone and iPad?

With Pro, turn on iCloud sync in the app's Settings on each device, signed in to the same Apple Account. Sync starts the next time you open the app.

Can I bring in the log I keep in a spreadsheet?

Yes, with Pro: in Settings, tap Import a spreadsheet log. Polyglot Garden reads columns for date, language, minutes, activity, resource and note, in any order. Hours instead of minutes work too, and so do commas, semicolons or tabs between columns. You can export your sessions as CSV from the same place.

Why don't I see Apple Intelligence fill-in in the notebook?

It needs Polyglot Garden Pro and an iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. It runs on the device, so what you type isn't sent anywhere.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com; see Apple's refund page for how it works.

Where is my data, and how do I delete it?

On your iPhone or iPad, and in your own private iCloud if you turn on sync. We can't see it. Deleting a language in Settings → Languages removes everything logged for it, and deleting the app removes the rest from the device. With sync on, also delete the app's data in your iCloud storage settings, where it's listed as Polyglot. More in the privacy policy.

Keep every language growing.
